Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign reaches its goal to help save the Jondachi River from being dammed!

On August 5, 2013, the ERI launched a fundraising campaign on Indiegogo’s crowdfunding platform at http://igg.me/at/savethejondachi for a legal defense to stop a poorly-conceived hydro project from being developed on the Upper Jondachi River in Ecuador. A total of USD $5006 was raised, meeting our funding target well before the campaign ended on September 30, 2013.

The ERI is immensely grateful to everyone who contributed to this effort and appreciates all of the generous support! This is a huge vote of confidence in our efforts to keep the Jondachi River flowing freely from the Andes to the Amazon, and shows what the Jondachi River means to the world.

A special thanks also goes to our campaign sponsors: H2O Velocity, Outdoorplay, Small World Adventures, and WRSI Safety, for providing great products and incentives for our donors.

The ERI is nearly ready to present the legal defense. We will keep you posted on our progress.
